This headband is super quick to throw together and can be made with materials that you might already have on hand. I like to make little handmade gifts for birthday parties and this is one that can be made for any age girl. It’s fun to tailor the colors and fabric to the recipient’s taste.

Materials needed:

piece of fabric 17″ x 7″

6″ piece of 1″ elastic (color to match your fabric)

matching thread

Start by folding the long sides of the fabric in half, right sides together. Next, you are going to stitch down the long side 17″ so that you have a tube of fabric that is inside out. Turn right side out. Attach the elastic at each end of the tube. Turn under, fold and pleat so that the fabric is the same size of the elastic. Stitch secure.
