Pizza Rolls

Delicious recipe for Pizza made with easy artisan bread dough (no kneading). Great party food or Super Bowl eats.

Ingredients
  

Easy Artisan Dough - (see original post or use quantities below for this recipe)

  • 3 cups water
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. yeast
  • 2 tsps. salt

Filling

  • 2 8 oz. packages of shredded mozzarella or Italian blend cheese
  • 2 lbs. ground sausage we use turkey sausage
  • dried oregano
  • 8 oz. pkg. mushrooms
  • 1 red or yellow bell pepper

Instructions
 

Dough

  • Make the dough at least one day ahead.
  • Mix all ingredients in a large container with a cover and place in the fridge.

Rolls

  • Brown the sausage in a fry pan until cooked to your liking.
  • Saute the mushrooms and peppers until cooked and the mushrooms are a little browned.
  • Pull out the dough and sprinkle with flour.
  • Place on a well-floured work surface and sprinkle on some additional flour.
  • Roll thin, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Sprinkle with cheese, sausage, veges, and oregano.
  • Starting with the long side, roll into a log.
  • Slice 1-1 1/2 inches thick and place in a well greased 9x13 pan. You may need an additional pan, depending on how thick they are sliced.
  • Place a pan of warm water on the bottom rack of the oven and preheat to 450 degrees.
  • Once the oven is up to temperature, bake for 35 minutes.
