These earrings are so easy to put together and you’d be amazed to learn that the colorful portion comes from paper! There are 3 parts to these earrings – the paper, that you can find at any craft store, and then the glass dome and earring tray which you can find either as a kit or individually from sunandmooncraftkits.com. This site has lots of great jewelry making supplies and I think they are very reasonably priced. If you are looking to make gifts for a large group, this is a great place to start.

The first step in making these earrings is to select some pretty scrapbook paper or card stock. You don’t want paper that is super thin – a nice scrapbook or cardstock paper works best. I’ve found this pretty red polka dot paper that I’m going to use.
Using Glass Glaze, also from sunandmooncrakits, attach the glass domes to the paper with just enough glue to cover the bottom of the glass dome. Hold for a few seconds, then let dry overnight.
Trim the paper around the glass dome.
Glue them into the earring trays with just a small amount of glue.
Place the glass domes in the trays and let dry overnight.
